Guests can walk into the centre of Wells, England's smallest city, with its magnificent Cathedral and precincts and the historic Market Place. Further sites to visit in Wells include the moated Bishops Palace and picturesque Vicars Close, the oldest inhabited mediaeval street in Europe.

Only eight miles away is Glastonbury, known for the Tor (pictured above), the majestic ruins of its Abbey, and its association with King Arthur. The renowned Clarkes Village outlet centre is a mile further on at Street.
The nearby Mendip Hills offer numerous walks and trails with magnificent views over the Somerset Levels, and local features include the spectacular Cheddar Gorge. Bath, Weston-Super-Mare and Longleat are all a short drive away.
